Jack Daugherty – Founder & Chairman DPG Partners

Jack Daugherty has 35+ years of private development experience in the hotel & restaurant industries & sets the tone for DPG by demanding DPG stays committed to principles of quality, service, and integrity. He opened his first hotel in Texarkana, TX two days before September 11, 2001. It was the first new hotel in the Texarkana market in over 20 years. Prior to entering the hotel business he built successful franchised restaurants in Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri and Arkansas. Before becoming an entrepreneur he was the Financial Controller for Donald W. Reynolds Media Group (Donrey Media), a national media company that owned & operated newspapers, televisions & radio stations across the United States. Jack is an active participant to his church, community and his alma mater, Southern Arkansas University where he served on the Board of Directors for the SAU Foundation and was honored in 2013 as a distinguished alumni. He also served on the Magnolia Economic Development Corporation and as President of the Magnolia-Columbia County Chamber of Commerce.

Mike Daugherty – Founder & CEO DPG Partners / Partner & CEO DPG Hotels

Mike Daugherty is a second generation hospitality entrepreneur. Mike focuses on the strategic direction and planning for DPG Partners and DPG Hotels. Mike has 25 years of business development experience. He was Director of Operations & Development for a publicly traded communications company where he developed & operated cable & wireless companies in the central US. In 2001 he was hired by SBC Communications, now ATT. In 2003 Mike & his wife, Tamara partnered with Jack to develop the Texarkana Hampton Inn & Suites. Mike has a bachelor degree from Oklahoma State and an MBA from University of Texas at Dallas. Mike serves as a Deacon at Prestonwood Baptist Church and also serves on the Board of Trustees at Prestonwood Christian Academy.

Brian Daugherty – Founder & COO DPG Partners / Partner & COO DPG Hotels

Brian Daugherty is a second generation hospitality entrepreneur. Brian focuses on the management of DPG’s existing and future hotels and is responsible for maximizing shareholder value for the owners of DPG as well as third party ownership groups. Prior to joining DPG, Brian spent 13 seasons as a collegiate and high school basketball coach. As the head coach of Southern Arkansas University, he led his program to three consecutive post season appearances and was named Gulf South Coach of the year. As Head of Operations, Brian utilizes his extensive team building skills and years of hospitality experience to develop a winning team. He has extensive P&L experience in food and beverage restaurants and catering operations.

Mack Lawrence – Controller DPG Partners & DPG Hotels

Mack Lawrence joined DPG in July, 2010. Prior to entering the hospitality industry with DPG, he spent 30+ years as a Controller and CFO for three different businesses based in Texarkana. Mack also brings to DPG over 35 years of close involvement with management and information systems. Mack oversees all accounting functions for DPG and supervises the office accounting staff and assists the General Managers in all financial management issues. During the last fifteen years, Mack has served as President of a national credit association and has held numerous volunteer positions and served on the local Board of Directors of Hospice in his community.

David Henderson – Director of Operations

David Henderson joined DPG in September, 2013 as the GM of the Texarkana Hilton Garden Inn & Texarkana Convention Center. Now as director of Operations, David oversees the day-to-day operation of all DPG properties. David works with General Managers to ensure each property is a leader in the markets they serve. David is responsible for the development and training of all hotel-level management personnel. Prior to joining DPG, David was a General Manager, then Task Force General Manager for two nationally recognized hotel management companies and brings over 25 years of hotel management experience with both full and select service hotels to his current position. As the General Manager of the DPG owned and operated Hilton Garden Inn and Texarkana Convention Center, David and his team won Most Improved REVPAR and Hotel Success awards from the brand.

Tamara Daugherty – Vice President of Design & Purchasing

Tamara joined DPG in 2005 to oversee design & purchasing for DPG hotels and oversee outside third party design partners, as well as coordinate design requirements with our brand partners. Tamara received her bachelor degree from Virginia Commonwealth University in graphic design & illustration. Prior to entering the hospitality business Tamara spent 13 years in advertising, working as an Account Director for Rapp Collins, a division of Omnicom Group, the world’s second largest advertising agency and also working for Circuit City stores. She has overseen client relationships with fortune five hundred companies such as Dell Computers, Hewlett-Packard, McAfee & Symantec. In addition to her responsibilities at DPG, she is active in her children’s schools and volunteers at Prestonwood Baptist church and has served on the church’s building committee.
